Our location has a special history behind it

It is a family owned restaurant, with a bit of history to it. Robert Hopkins (Owner Anna’s dad) bought Las Cazuelas location back in 1998 When it was a church, turned it in to a mechanic shop. 25 years later he decided to retire and sell the business to Anna and her husband.

“We weren’t sure what to do at first but then we thought why not flip it, and do a restaurant which has been my husband (Sergio’s) dream.” –stated Anna.

“So we worked very hard cleaning and building a restaurant from my dad's mechanic shop, Transmission to Tacos.”

The name Cazuelas comes from clay pots pans.

Both our families cook a lot with clay pots in Mexico.

So when deciding the name it seemed easy to us to use something both our families have in common the tradition of using cazuelas to cook.

So we hope that we can share that tradition with this town that I grew up in. It is our priority as the Macias family to provide great service and quality food to this amazing town.

The Owners: Anna Macias and Sergio Macias

My husband has worked in the restaurant industry for 18 years and we have two babies. Working hard to fulfill his dream and support his family.

I grew up in this town (Marshfield) graduated high school here. I had a different route though I was studying nursing and would work as a waitress on the side. Then meet my husband and decided to join him in his dream on owning a restaurant.

Working together has always been fun for us, we both have a passion for cooking, and have the best memories with our girls in the kitchen making food, and trying new things.

Bartender:

Our bartender is a former air man. He served in our US Air Force for 6 years. And when he heard about his big sis opening a restaurant he decided to come home and do what he loves and that’s bartending.

While in the service Timmy (Anna’s brother) had a side job of bartending on weekends and has gained lots of experience on making drinks from all around.
